Job Summary
Complete assigned Behavioral Health Technician duties and documentation in accordance with Lincoln Recovery policies, state regulations, and HIPAA guidelines. Monitor and document client vital signs, assist with admission and intake processes including urine samples and searches, and support detoxification protocols with routine monitoring. Provide safe transportation to appointments and meetings, assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation, and support clients with daily living activities and on-site group participation. Observe signs of distress and report observations promptly while attending staff meetings and trainings. This role requires a valid driver's license, current CPR certification, and successful completion of background checks, drug screens, and TB tests.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain
- Must successfully complete Background Check, Drug Screen, and TB Test
Desired Qualifications
- General understanding of mental health conditions, substance use, and the impact of co-occurring disorders
- Basic knowledge of the use and misuse of alcohol and other substances
- Understanding of and/or experience in crisis management, including de-escalation techniques
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations and client confidentiality standards
- Familiarity with SMART Recovery, Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) support models
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
