Job Summary
Behavioral Health Technician I provides direct client/patient care, oversees daily activities, monitors health and safety, facilitates group rehabilitative activities, interprets treatment plans, and maintains documentation. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to support a therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include admitting, supervising, transferring, and discharging clients/patients; monitoring vital signs and escalating medical concerns as needed; assisting with personal care; documenting behaviors and concerns; facilitating scheduled groups and transportation as needed. Education requirements include High School education or equivalent with two years of responsible employment; preferred experience in Human Services; must possess a valid driver’s license and pass background checks; minimum age 21 to operate company vehicles. Required Qualifications
- High School education OR equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment.
- Experience in Human Services or related field preferred.
- Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle.
- Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect checks.
