Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), Pediatric Outpatient

Job Summary
Daily responsibilities include providing individual CPST services to assigned caseload, assisting therapists and providers with daily program delivery, completing clinical documentation, collecting information for quality measures, scheduling treatment team and transition/discharge meetings, and collaborating with parents/guardians and the treatment team. The role supports therapeutic milieu for pediatric outpatients, requires CPR and Handle With Care within 30 days, and may require flexible hours/overtime. Education requirements include a high school diploma or an associate/college degree, with prior experience in mental health or education settings with young children. The position is with NewVista Behavioral Health and emphasizes a compassionate, professional approach to youth behavioral health in a outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or degree from an accredited college
- CPR certification
- Handle With Care (HWC) within 30 days of employment
- Completion of additional mental health training within 30 days of employment
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- May be required to work flexible hours and overtime
- Experience in a mental health or education setting with young children, with direct experience working with children with mental health or significant behaviors difficulties
