Job Summary
Assist nursing staff in processing new admissions and serve as support for patients entering treatment. Observe all patient activity, maintain a visible presence throughout the campus, and assist with daily activities and ADLs. Act as a liaison between patients and the treatment team, documenting observations to support care. Recognize and respond to crisis situations with appropriate interventions, supervise patients during packing and unpacking, and ensure orderly conduct for patient safety. Conduct searches of patient property to remove contraband and observe urinalysis exams. Transport patients to and from the emergency room and doctor's appointments using the company vehicle. Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it is required, along with CPI training and a valid Florida driver's license. Limited openings for three 12-hour day shifts, with days and nights available.
Required Qualifications
- Current CPR Certification or must be obtained
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or must be obtained
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles, if required
- Certification or associate degree in behavioral health
- Experience working in a mental health institution or psychiatric facility
- Limited openings for three 12-hour day shifts
