Job Summary
Facilitate the emotional and social development of children and youth ages 3-21 through individualized therapeutic, supportive, and skill-building interventions in home, community, or school settings. Engage families and extended guardians in treatment processes using reflective listening, empathy, and strength-based approaches to build resiliency and transfer learned strategies. Collaborate with Behavior Consultants, teachers, and school staff to develop and implement crisis plans, while collecting daily progress reports and maintaining clinical documentation to meet state guidelines. Transport clients when approved and adhere to all agency policies, safety protocols, and required clearances.
Required Qualifications
- Provision of behavioral health services: 2 years
- Have a certification as a BCA, BA, or
- Have a certification as a RBT, or
- Have a certification as a BCAT, or
- Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification, or
- Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA, or; BCABA
- Act 31, 33/34 clearances
- Valid PA Motor Vehicle Operator's license
- All necessary child abuse clearances (PA Criminal Record Check, PA Abuse Clearance, and Federal Criminal History Clearance)

- The ability to carry out proper restraints to prevent client from harming themselves or others. Adhere to agency's policy on restrictive behaviors.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to safely go up and down stairs
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
