Job Summary
Facilitate social and emotional development for children ages 3-21 with psychiatric conditions by providing individualized therapeutic, supportive, and skill-building interventions in home, community, or school settings. Establish collaborative relationships with families and community resources using an eco-systemic approach, while transferring learned strategies to parents or guardians. Requires two years of behavioral health service provision, certification as a BCA, BA, RBT, or BCAT, and a Bachelor's degree or 48 credit hours in Psychology, Education, or a related field. Full-time position in Cambria County at $18.00-$20.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Provision of behavioral health services: 2 years (required)
- Have a certification as a BCA, BA, or
- Have a certification as a RBT, or
- Have a certification as a BCAT, or
- Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification, or
- Must have a passion for working with children with disabilities
- Must have reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 48 credit hours towards a Bachelor's in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- Experience working with children with behavior problems
- Excellent communication skills
