Develop therapeutic relationships with patients suffering from developmental, psychiatric, and substance abuse disorders while assisting in daily care tasks like feeding, bathing, and ambulation. Monitor patients during activities and group sessions, perform vital sign checks, blood glucose monitoring, and EKGs, and respond promptly to call lights. Act as a physical sitter or camera viewer for safety and suicide precautions, utilizing de-escalation techniques to manage acute crises and prevent harmful situations. Document all interactions, interventions, and observations accurately in the electronic medical record. Work nights, including on-call rotation, with a focus on patient safety and effective communication with nursing staff.
