Job Summary
Behavioral Health Tech II provides direct patient care within a residential behavioral health setting, supporting clients with substance use and mental health disorders under the Milieu Manager and treatment-team guidelines. Responsibilities include admits support, searches and item cataloging, participating in treatment procedures, documenting client notes, coordinating transportation, administering urine/breath tests, managing vitals and medications, facilitating group sessions, mentoring new staff, shift handoffs, and maintaining a therapeutic, HIPAA-compliant environment aligned with the client's treatment plan. Requires high school diploma, CAT progress, QMAP or ability to obtain within 60 days, CPR, 1+ year residential behavioral health experience, driver’s license, and age 21+; duties emphasize teamwork, communication, crisis de-escalation, and adherence to policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CAT certification progress (25% complete)
- QMAP or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- CPR certification
- 1+ year of residential behavioral health experience
- Valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- Must be 21 years of age or older
