Job Summary
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECH provides a safe environment for program participants, assists with admissions/orientation, communicates client needs to staff, supports client wellbeing, and supervises clients with emphasis on safety. Responsibilities include admitting clients, recording belongings, facilitating orientation groups, completing lab requisitions, monitoring client locations, transporting clients as needed, de-escalating problems, participating in meetings, acting as a liaison between clients and staff, supervising meals, ensuring proper waste disposal, maintaining logs, and supporting continuity of care. Requires high school diploma or GED, CPR, and ADCA within 30 days (Maine requirement), with knowledge of addictions/12-Step Recovery, confidentiality, ethics, and emergency procedures; willingness to adapt to schedule changes and collaborate within an addiction-treatment team. Location-based role in Boynton Beach, FL (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Current CPR
- Valid Driver's License preferred
- Maine specific ADCA within 30 days of hire (or higher)
- Knowledge of addictions and mental health
- 12-Step Recovery program knowledge
- Ability to determine medical emergencies and take action
- Knowledge of confidentiality, client rights, ethics, discrimination
- Knowledge of airborne/bloodborne pathogens and universal precautions
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and responsibilities as part of addiction treatment team
