Job Summary
Provide direct patient care, monitoring behavior every 15 minutes, and assisting with daily activities for individuals with mental health or substance use disorders. Implement treatment plans under supervision, engage patients in therapeutic programming, and respond to crises by de-escalating conflicts and ensuring safety. Document patient responses, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support recovery while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to facility protocols. This full-time night shift position (7pm-7am) with rotating weekends and holidays is located at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell, NM.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare setting
- De-escalation training certification
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with patients with psychiatric disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders
- Certified Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT)
