Job Summary
Develop therapeutic relationships with patients while monitoring interactions during activities and group sessions. Provide structure, social support, and safety training, acting as a physical sitter or camera viewer for suicide precautions. Assist with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, and ambulation, while responding promptly to call lights. Perform vital sign monitoring, blood glucose checks, specimen collection, and EKGs. Manage crisis interventions through verbal de-escalation and coordinate diagnostic or discharge services. Document all observations, interventions, and patient changes accurately in the electronic medical record. Maintain unit supplies and equipment while following hospital policies for seclusion, restraint, and emergency protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of previous experience as a care partner, Certified Nursing Assistant, or similar role
- BLS certification required. If not current upon hire, must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
