Job Summary
Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of operations and patient care for designated areas. Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients while functioning as a staff nurse as needed. Assume managerial duties delegated by a manager and perform all responsibilities consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Maintain current RN licensure and obtain required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or NRP within specified timeframes. This role supports Mercy's mission to provide compassionate, innovative healthcare through a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing program
- Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- 2 years' experience in patient care is required
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisor experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
