Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and evaluate operations and patient care for designated areas while serving as a clinical resource for staff and patients. Perform duties as a staff nurse when needed and execute delegated managerial responsibilities in alignment with Mercy Service Standards. Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or NRP based on unit assignment. Requires two years of patient care experience, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and the physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing program
- Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- 2 years' experience in patient care is required
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisor experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
