Behavioral Health Specialist

Develop and implement individualized behavior plans while conducting functional behavior assessments using staff interviews and direct observation. Collaborate with BCBAs, house managers, program directors, parents, and service coordinators to ensure effective service delivery and plan communication. Review and interpret data prior to making behavior plan changes, ensuring least restrictive interventions are considered before more restrictive measures. Participate in risk review and human rights committee meetings, providing relevant data and identifying trends in incident reports. Develop transition plans for new referrals, create visual schedules and token systems, and train staff on behavior plan management and regulations. Complete behavioral sections of service needs assessments and assist with behavior graphs for psychiatric appointments. Respond to behavioral requests from the clinical supervisor and travel to various residential sites, day programs, and contracted agencies.
