Behavioral Health Specialist

Behavioral Health Specialist performs patient behavioral health assessments and evaluations, develops and implements treatment goals, and facilitates referrals/resources within the Valley Health Partners Community Health Center continuum and throughout the community; provides therapeutic interventions to address patients’ mental health needs, documents medical records in a timely manner, and collaborates with internal and external teams to ensure coordinated care. Must demonstrate proficiency in therapeutic modalities, the DSM-5 classification system, culturally competent care, and the ability to respond to emergencies as part of an integrated behavioral health program.
