Job Summary
Behavioral Health Specialist provides primary community support and case management to mentally ill, homeless, and substance-using Sea Mar clients; conducts intake screenings, creates Client Service Plans, makes referrals, maintains files and regular contact with clients (home visits included), collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, adheres to agency policies, ensures mandated reporting for child/elder abuse, and supports clients in accessing services. Requires Associate’s degree in Behavioral Health/related field with two years of related experience, eligibility for Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration, valid driver’s license, ability to drive to client sites, bilingual Spanish/English, ability to work in a team, and compliance with vaccination and background check requirements. Hourly pay listed as $21.86/hour with full-time benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Behavioral Health, Health Sciences, or related field
- two years of closely related work experience
- eligible for Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration from the State Department of Health
- active Agency Affiliated license within 90 days of hire
- current TB test
- valid State Driver’s license
- annual influenza vaccine
- background check
- ability to use own car daily
- bilingual in Spanish and English
