Behavioral Health Specialist PT/Per Diem

Job Summary
Conduct brief assessments, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and families within the pediatric medical home. Monitor patient progress via electronic registry, coordinate care with primary care teams and community resources, and collaborate with a child and adolescent psychiatrist on medication management. Perform mental health screenings using standardized instruments, provide patient education on disorders and treatment options, and deliver interventions ranging from behavioral strategies to traditional psychotherapy. Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions while facilitating referrals to other care levels as indicated. Participate in weekly caseload consultations with the psychiatric consultant to communicate treatment recommendations to medical providers. Requires a licensed social worker or equivalent experience with two years post-Master's experience and clinical background in pediatric settings.
