Behavioral Health Specialist, Psychiatry Float Pool

Job Summary
Float across College Hill psychiatric and behavioral health areas based on staffing needs, adapting quickly to unit-specific workflows and patient populations. Provide direct patient care using therapeutic communication, trauma-informed strategies, and de-escalation techniques to support youth in crisis and maintain safe, stable environments. Implement individualized care plans, conduct behavioral observations, and lead group programming while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for continuity. Perform safety checks, room searches, and incident documentation to ensure patient safety standards are met. Maintain accurate shift notes and participate in safe handoff procedures, escalating concerns to clinical leadership as needed. Work rotating day/evening shifts as part of the 0.6 FTE team at the state-of-the-art facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
