Behavioral Health Specialist I

Job Summary
Provide psychosocial, rehabilitation and recovery-oriented services, advocate for clients in treatment, support individual service plans, maintain client records, consult with clients and families, assist clients in accessing mental health treatment and other resources, develop financial management plans, and provide holistic case management services. This role requires leadership in the absence of the Program Director, completion of required documentation, and attendance to clients' health and safety. A high school diploma with relevant experience is minimum; a bachelor's degree and mental health service experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or an accredited GED program
- Four (4) years of varied experience as a provider of direct mental health services
- Valid California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration
- Reliable means of transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field
- Experience in direct mental health services
