Job Summary
Behavioral Health Specialist in Pendleton, IN at Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility. Full-time Day Shift. Responsible for using recreational and social activities to foster skill building, problem solving, and to accomplish treatment objectives, working as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to support patients in developing social, adaptive, and independent living skills. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field; CPR certification is required. Specific training in recreational therapy and NCCAP certification are preferred; correctional environment experience preferred. Offers a $5,000 joining bonus and comprehensive benefits. Salary is $21-25/hour depending on experience (converted to annualized $43,680–$52,000).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related social sciences field required
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in CPR
