Job Summary
Arrange language line interpretation, screen new patients, and complete risk assessments to ensure effective communication and care. Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments while maintaining waitlists for Behavioral Health Services and processing prior authorizations for insurance coverage. Manage EHR continuity lists, enter vital signs, and handle blood draws, injections, and drug screens as needed. Assist with triaging emergencies, process lab service orders, and provide administrative support including mail sorting and data entry. Travel to other locations for clinic coverage and attend mandatory safety training. Work 7a-7p with a float schedule across Legacy Community Health's clinics in Southeast Texas.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- BLS (CPR & AED) Certified
- Must be able to work in a team setting
- Leadership ability for program management, growth, and development within the Center and the Community
- Communication/interpersonal skills to interact courteously and professionally with associates and customers of various ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds
- Knowledge of and the ability to interact effectively with various community agencies and resources
- Coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
- Computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to travel to other locations for clinic/site coverage as needed
- Must be able to handle blood draws, injections, EKGs, and drug screens as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Three to six months of related experience
- One year certificate from college or technical school
- Familiarity with BH
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Good direct and telephone communication skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
