Job Summary
Psychiatric outpatient provider (NP/PA) to join Advocate Health Behavioral Health team in Charlotte, NC. Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and manage acute/chronic conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, educate patients/families, and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team. Role is primarily remote with an option for Fridays in-person; Monday–Friday schedule (36 patient contact hours weekly); no weekends, holidays, or on-call. Requires NP/PA credentials with appropriate board certification/licensure (PMHNP-BC for NP or NCCPA for PA), NC licensure, DEA, prescriptive authority, and BLS. Experience in outpatient psychiatry/behavioral health preferred; teaching opportunities available with residents/students. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing Practice or Doctorate for NP;
- Board certification as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) for NP track OR NCCPA certification for PA track
- Current NC NP/APRN and RN licensure; DEA license and prescriptive authority; BLS certification
- For PA: NCCPA certification; NC PA licensure; DEA; prescriptive authority; BLS
