Job Summary
Coordinate patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal clinical outcomes and ensure compliance with MTF policies. Perform physical exams, administer medications, provide wound care, and deliver health promotions and counseling. Direct and supervise care provided by other personnel while making assignments based on scope of practice. Recognize adverse signs and react quickly in emergency situations. Communicate with diverse teams to inform plans and educate patients and families. Make referral appointments for specialty care and conduct research to support improved practice. Maintain current, active, and unrestricted RN licensure with an Associate or BSN degree and three years of nursing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree of Nursing
- Graduate from an associate (AND) or baccalaureate degree (BSN) program in nursing accredited by a national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education
- Three years of experience with a variety of psychopharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the desired effects to include side effects and complications of their use, as well as the accurate administration of the psychopharmacologic agent
- Certified/certification eligible by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric and Mental health Nurse
- Two years full time experience in mental health
- Three years of experience in nursing as identified in the TO after graduation
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as required in the TO
