Job Summary
Conduct recreational therapy sessions on the 17-bed D6 Inpatient Behavioral Health unit for adults managing schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression. Engage with patients across all age groups to assist them in navigating emotional and physical challenges while fostering trust through therapeutic communication. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatric providers, nurses, and clinicians to address multifaceted patient needs. Maintain flexibility and a calm presence during unpredictable situations while setting appropriate boundaries. Requires a Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation and certification. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation
- Must be certified
- Must be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- Must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
