Job Summary
As a Behavioral Health Provider, you will deliver integrated, person-centered behavioral health services and collaborate with a multidisciplinary Integrated Care Team to provide comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination for individuals with co-occurring disorders. Essential skills include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing various forms of psychotherapy, and engaging in crisis response activities. Master’s degree in a related field and active NYS licensure/permit are mandatory. The role may evolve from supervised practice to independent functioning as clinical proficiency develops.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Active NYS licensure, limited permit, or ability to obtain required credentialing within 90 days of hire.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and integrated treatment models.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary, integrated care setting.
- Valid New York State driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in CCBHC, community behavioral health and/or substance use treatment, hospital setting or integrated care setting.
- Experience working with individuals living with a serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder.
- Demonstrated crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
