Job Summary
Evaluate and diagnose mental and behavioral health disorders through interviews, assessments, observation, and screening to formulate treatment plans and make appropriate referrals. Provide mental health treatment in collaboration with other providers while demonstrating proficiency in biopsychosocial diagnosis, individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Apply trauma-informed care interventions and utilize crisis intervention and deescalation techniques when interacting with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. Work as a 1.0 FTE exempt provider at an NHSC Approved Site with full health insurance premiums paid.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in clinical practice field of psychology, mental health counseling, or social work
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a mental health professional through the relevant degree licensing board
- Advanced knowledge of mental health disorders, personality and human development, theories and models of treatment
- Strong skills in conducting biopsychosocial diagnosis assessments, individual, family, and group psychotherapy
- Knowledgeable and skilled in providing trauma-informed care and interventions
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, family members, multidisciplinary team members, community agencies, and other resource providers
- Skills to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
- Skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Time management skills
- Critical thinking skills
