Job Summary
Behavioral Health Program Manager to oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs. Responsible for program budgeting and implementation, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing virtual onboarding workflows for clinical staff, regular collaboration with the Executive Director, setting and reviewing goals and productivity, ensuring compliance and quality standards, fostering relationships with federal/state/county/private providers, and assisting in grant-related reporting. Core competencies include knowledge of CSOC and DCF guidelines, Intensive In-Community (IIC) and Intensive In-Home (IIH) therapies, grant writing, program development and budgeting, and data-driven reporting. Requires a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field, at least 5 years supervising a team and 3 years in program management within behavioral health, strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, and NJ regulatory knowledge; bilingual skills in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole are desirable; onsite in Union, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field
- Knowledge of treatment plan writing, biopsychosocial assessments, and clinical documentation in DAP/Soap format
- Minimum 5 years proven experience supervising a team of direct reports
- At least 3 years of program management experience in behavioral health
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health services, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
- Effective communication with diverse audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting with relevant software/tools
- Knowledge of NJ State regulatory requirements and ethical considerations in behavioral health programs
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, and culturally sensitive approach
- Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole bilingual skills desirable
- Willing to work onsite in Union, NJ
