Job Summary
Conduct psychosocial assessments, preliminary diagnostic impressions, counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services for patients in a jail as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Collect patient data through interviews, case histories, and psychological tests to identify problem causes and determine therapeutic approaches or referrals. Evaluate data to establish proper treatment and follow-up care programs while providing therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required. Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and consult with other behavioral health practitioners to support performance of therapeutic and casework duties. Requires a Master's degree in Social Work or related field, current state Mental Health Registered Professional license, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field, or in a master's level Internship program
- Current state Mental Health Registered Professional license, or currently pursuing master's degree from an accredited university
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
