Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Practitioner provides direct client care and supports rehabilitation and case management services to clients, with responsibilities including teaching individual and group rehabilitation and independent living skills, documenting services in the electronic health record, developing and updating treatment plans and crisis prevention plans, coordinating services to achieve optimal functioning, advocating for clients, assisting with benefits access, providing crisis assistance, handling prior authorizations, supporting scheduling and attendance, and participating in multidisciplinary meetings. The role requires applying a philosophical approach aligned with Range Mental Health Center, maintaining a valid driver’s license, flexible teamwork, ability to manage stress, and adherence to federal/state guidelines. The position is based in Hibbing, MN and involves full-time hours with a wage range of $21.88-$29.65 per hour, plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Qualify as a Behavioral Health Practitioner as defined by the Minnesota Dept of Human Services (4-year human service degree plus 2000 hours supervised mental health experience, or a Master’s degree in Human Services, or 4,000 hours supervised mental health experience)
- Training with children for practitioners serving child members
- Training with adults for practitioners serving adult members
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods
- Ability to work rotating shifts if in 24-hour settings
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
