Job Summary
Provide direct nursing services for outpatient psychiatry, including assessment, vital monitoring, and injections; support medication management in collaboration with nurse practitioners; serve as central contact for psychiatric needs and coordinate care across a multi-disciplinary team; educate patients on medication regimens and co-occurring conditions; manage patient refills with APRN/PMHNP; perform lab draws and monitor supplies; assist with MAT program, Patient Assistance Program, and on-site staff education; coordinate care with pharmacies and act as liaison for pharmaceutical education for professionals; offer community health worker services as needed; respond to high-stress clinical environments and maintain culturally competent, compassionate patient care; contribute to quality improvement and program development as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license in Kansas or eligible for KS license
- RN level preferred, but will consider LPN with psychiatric experience
- BLS/CPR certified
- Experience in the mental health field and knowledge of psychoactive medications preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment drug screens
