Job Summary
Behavioral Health Medical Provider (Nurse Practitioner) for full-time night shift in Leesburg, VA. Direct, coordinate, and provide medical/clinical services to youth and adults within the facility, including psychiatric evaluation, crisis interventions, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, family meetings, supportive psychotherapy, risk assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. Attends as the treating clinician, conducts initial assessments, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, orders labs, reviews health records, and coordinates with outpatient behavioral health providers. Requires PMHNP certification, an unrestricted Virginia license (or multistate), DEA license with Schedule III authority, and credentialing requirements; completes mandatory background checks and adheres to vaccination policy. Eligible for a $10,000 commitment bonus for full-time employment and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Unrestricted Registered Nursing license in the State of Virginia or hold multistate license
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a master’s level certification in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP)
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Virginia Joint Boards of Nursing and Medicine
- Licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing and National Certifications
- Unrestricted DEA license and registered with the Virginia Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)
- Must have current DEA registration that includes Schedule III authority
- State of Virginia Fingerprint Clearance
- Must be able to pass Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services (VA DBHDS) background check
- Must be able to pass Virginia Department of Social Services (VA DSS) Office of Background Investigations - Central Registry Search
