Job Summary
Behavioral Health Medical Assistant provides coordinated care for psychiatric patients as part of a team, handling administrative tasks within the department, managing the BH provider schedule for productivity, coordinating logistics and supplies, translating to facilitate provider-patient communication, administering injections (LAIs) as directed, maintaining accurate procedure and medical records in the EMR, handling prior authorizations for psychotropic meds, and supporting health promotion/disease prevention activities while performing other duties to meet organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate
- One to two years of education and/or experience with adults, children and/or adolescents with emotional disorders/mental illness
- Certified in medical translation or two to three years of medical translation experience in a medical office
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs and Electronic Medical Records
