Job Summary
Provide face-to-face consultation with classroom teachers to create positive, trauma-informed learning environments and develop effective behavior responses. Deliver at least one annual training session on mental health and substance abuse prevention, while leading three psychoeducational groups yearly on topics like stress management and de-escalation. Serve as a liaison between families and schools to support the Individualized Education Plan process and build home-school partnerships. Conduct individual, group, and family therapy services to address specific behavioral issues, formulate diagnoses, and create treatment plans. Maintain accurate logs, progress notes, and documentation to comply with grant requirements and state monitoring visits.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health (MH) Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a specialization in MH Counseling
- License-eligible in respective discipline
- Completion of at least 24 graduate-level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health-related coursework (for applicants with a Master's in a related field)
- Relevant coursework in Clinical treatment and treatment planning
- Relevant coursework in Appraisal and assessment of mental disorders
- Relevant coursework in Psychopathology
- Relevant coursework in Use of the DSM for diagnostic purposes within a clinical internship or practicum in a behavioral health setting
- Clinical experience (may be fulfilled through internships or practicums completed as part of a master's degree program)
- Valid driver's license
- Eligibility to be covered under the organization's vehicle insurance policy
