Job Summary
As a Behavioral Health Specialist/Qualified Professional (QP), provide support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use needs across residential, school, workplace, and community settings. Responsibilities include development, implementation, monitoring, and revision of the Person Centered Plan with the interdisciplinary team; facilitate relationships between the company, families, guardians, local agencies, and the community; minimize psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence effects on daily living; support client in developing daily living, social, adaptation, and behavior management skills; participate in a 24/7/365 on-call system; perform Case Management to link and refer services; coordinate PCP implementation with clinical staff; ensure timely service authorizations and monitor service utilization for appropriateness and effectiveness. Education/licensure requirements include Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees as specified (with related experience) and applicable professional licenses or registrations; CPR training and pre-employment screenings are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree (not Human Services field) with 4+ years full-time experience with population served OR Bachelor Degree (in Human Services field) with 2+ years full-time experience with population served OR Master’s Degree or Higher & 1+ years full-time experience with population served
- License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, Permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession
- CPR certification (from floor level)
- Pre-employment screening including background checks and credentialing as required
