Behavioral Health Counselor - Residential

Job Summary
Support clients individually and in group therapy to explore issues associated with addiction and addictive behaviors using evidence-based treatment practices. Arrange case and family conferences, coordinate counseling efforts with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals and social workers, and consult on outreach activities. Complete and maintain accurate records regarding client histories, progress, and services provided, including treatment plans and case management notes. Provide non-admission contact services to potential clients and perform household or milieu duties as necessary. Work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in the treatment of Alcohol/Drug and Mental Health
- Bachelors Degree
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and ethical counseling practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse client populations
- Monday thru Friday
- 8 am to 4 pm
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with mental health and substance use disorders
- Training or certification in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or motivational interviewing
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms
- Additional certifications related to behavioral health specialties or wellness coaching
