Job Summary
Counsel clients individually or in group sessions to assist with overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes. Develop treatment plans based on research and client histories, then review progress against measurable goals. Conduct chemical dependency assessments using urine samples and evaluate mental health issues to determine medication needs. Facilitate crisis intervention, coordinate with medical professionals, and supervise interns or new staff. Maintain accurate records, adhere to HIPAA regulations, and act as a liaison between clients and medical teams. Available for full-time Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30pm in Milwaukee, WI. Requires a master's degree in counseling, psychology, or clinical social work, plus a current LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or APSW license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited university or college with a master's degree in counseling, Psychology or Clinical Social Work
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience providing short-term counseling to individuals and their families in Mental Health
- Licensed as a LCSW, LPC, LMFT or APSW, LPC-IT, LMFT-IT or must obtain within 1 year of employment
- Licensed for AODA practice through the Department of Regulation and Licensing within state of practice
- Current CPR (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Regular travel between locations is required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in AODA preferred
- EMR experience preferred
