Behavioral Health Counselor - Outpatient, Full Time, Day Shift

Job Summary

Conduct behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for patients and families managing emotional, mental, and substance abuse disorders. Formulate comprehensive plans utilizing individual, marital, family, and group therapies, including crisis intervention and grief work. Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare teams to assist with discharge planning and patient coping strategies. Document all assessment plans, interactions, and interventions per departmental guidelines. Maintain a Master's degree in counseling, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) status, and three years of experience in crisis intervention and therapy. Receive required vaccinations annually and undergo E-Verify participation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Master's Degree in counseling or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • All required vaccinations
  • E-Verify participation and acknowledgment of Right to Work notices

Desired Qualifications

  • Three years' experience to include crisis intervention, individual and group therapy
  • Experience in working with behavioral health clients providing direct assessment, diagnosis formulation, treatment planning, treatment intervention and education to members and/or family members
