Job Summary
Conduct behavioral health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients and families managing emotional, mental, and substance abuse disorders. Deliver crisis intervention, brief and long-term individual, marital, family, and group therapies, along with grief and bereavement work. Collaborate within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to represent a professional counseling perspective and assist with discharge planning. Document all assessment plans, interactions, and interventions per departmental and hospital guidelines. Maintain a Master's degree in counseling or equivalent experience, hold a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license, and provide three years of preferred experience in direct therapy and crisis intervention. Located in The Dalles, Oregon, this full-time day shift role supports Adventist Health Columbia Gorge's community services since 1901.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Master's Degree in counseling or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation and acknowledgment of Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Three years' experience to include crisis intervention, individual and group therapy
- Experience in working with behavioral health clients providing direct assessment, diagnosis formulation, treatment planning, treatment intervention and education to members and/or family members
