Behavioral Health Counselor - Outpatient, Full Time, Day Shift

Job Summary
Conduct behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for patients and families addressing emotional, mental, and substance abuse disorders. Formulate and implement comprehensive plans utilizing crisis intervention, individual, marital, family, and group therapies, including grief and bereavement work. Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare teams to represent a professional counseling perspective and assist with discharge planning. Document assessment plans, interactions, and interventions according to departmental and hospital guidelines. Maintain a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license and hold a Master's degree in counseling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Master's Degree in counseling or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation and acknowledgment of Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Three years' experience to include crisis intervention, individual and group therapy
- Experience in working with behavioral health clients providing direct assessment, diagnosis formulation, treatment planning, treatment intervention and education to members and/or family members
