Job Summary
Behavioral Health Counselor provides psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and groups in an integrated outpatient setting, delivering evidence-based care in-person and via telehealth. Responsibilities include conducting ongoing assessments of patients’ mental health, substance use, and psychosocial needs; developing and updating individualized treatment plans; evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusting level of care; ensuring proper documentation in the EHR; collaborating with Psychiatric NPs, PCPs, MAT providers, Case Managers, and external partners to ensure comprehensive care; monitoring performance indicators and quality measures with data analysts; maintaining licensure and CEU requirements; contributing to continuous quality improvement projects; and assisting with revenue-cycle activities related to coding and documentation. Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in a Human Services field, licensure as LPC or LISW, at least 1 year of experience as a licensed provider, reliable transportation, strong communication skills, and knowledge of therapeutic principles.
