Job Summary
Join Center for Human Development (CHD) as a Behavioral Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you'll provide direct care, assist with daily living activities, and ensure the comfort and stability of Persons served. This role requires a CNA certification, 6 months of relevant experience, and the ability to meet physical demands. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, providing comfort, checking vital signs, and maintaining facility cleanliness. A competitive hourly rate of $20.00, with a $2.00 differential for 3rd shift, is offered along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a CNA
- 6 months experience in a Behavioral Health setting, required
- 6 months experience working with the elderly, people with disabilities, behavioral challenges and cognitive disabilities, required
- Valid driver’s license with a reliable and insured motor vehicle
- Meeting physical demands of the role. IE: Ability to lift 45 lbs or more, stocking supplies, exercising groups, extended periods of walking and/or standing
- Participate and successfully complete training requirements in compliance with CHD and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health
Desired Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification, preferred
- Successful completion of Safety Care Training that utilizes physical restraints, de-escalation and redirection techniques.
