BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICIAN (RPC Residential)

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive treatment and case management services for individuals with coexisting substance abuse and mental illness, including assessment, brief psychotherapy, and group therapy. Provide crisis intervention, stabilize patients in crisis, and coordinate community resources while developing and maintaining treatment plans. Deliver ongoing clinical training to staff, facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, and participate in interdisciplinary treatment team case staffing. Maintain accurate file documentation, submit reports for MIS and billing, and uphold consumer confidentiality per 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA. Work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines while collaborating with colleagues and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field
- Five (5) years of experience in counseling and conducting mental health assessments
- Experience with both adult and adolescent population
- National or State Substance Abuse Counselor Certification Level II required within one year of hire
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the dynamics of chemical dependency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Must work well under pressure
- Must demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and consumers
Desired Qualifications
- State of Alaska Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- State of Alaska Counselor and Clinical Supervisor Certification
