Job Summary

Provide short-term psychotherapeutic services including individual, martial, family, and group treatment. Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments and complete evidenced-based screening tools to determine patient needs. Develop treatment plans with measurable objectives and collaborate with mental health professionals to coordinate care. Evaluate patient progress, adjust plans as necessary, and complete required documentation and charting in a timely manner. Advocate for patients by assisting them in accessing community resources. Participate in ongoing professional development, clinical supervision, and multi-disciplinary team meetings. This role supports the behavioral health unit at Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center, NJ, offering per diem coverage from 8AM-4PM for 2-3 days per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience providing short-term psychotherapeutic services including individual, marital, family, and group treatment
  • Ability to conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments for patients seeking behavioral health services
  • Ability to complete and analyze evidenced based screening tools and assessments
  • Ability to provide individual, group and family counseling for patients
  • Ability to develop treatment plans for patients including clear problem statement, treatment goal(s), with measurable, relevant objectives for a range of behavioral health concerns
  • Ability to collaborate with other mental health professionals to coordinate care
  • Ability to complete required documentation and charting of patient encounters in a timely manner
  • Ability to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Ability to participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current on best practices in the field of behavioral health
  • Ability to meet with supervisor for clinical supervision
  • Ability to participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care, concerns and planning
  • Ability to advocate for patients and assist them in accessing community resources
  • Ability to complete all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies as assigned
