Job Summary
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, complete treatment plans, and provide direct behavioral health therapy to Golden Valley Health Centers patients during scheduled office hours. Facilitate care through triage and referrals, deliver services via tele-health, and assist primary care providers with warm hand-offs for behavioral health needs. Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and Board of Behavioral Sciences guidelines while educating patients on the integrated care model. Support program goals by managing grant deliverables, reporting requirements, and assisting in staff recruitment and training. Complete required documentation and billing within specified time frames.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited institution with a Master's Degree in Social Work and/or doctorate in Psychology
- Must have a current registration with the BBS
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D.), Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), and must be licensed or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Registered Associate CSW should complete their practicum hours within two years from date of hire and be licensed within one year of the acceptance of their practicum hours by the BBS
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds (on wheels)
- Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to patients and staff
- Must have vision with or without lenses that is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents
- Must have high manual dexterity
- Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouching, reaching, kneeling, twisting/turning
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in mental health program services preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of NASW Code of Ethics
- Knowledge of California Board of Behavioral Sciences Regulations (BBS)
- Knowledge of Current practices and techniques in psychotherapeutic treatment
- Knowledge of Current practices and techniques in the integrated model, including brief intervention and therapy
- Knowledge of Community resources for children and their families, homeless, farmworkers, etc.
- Knowledge of The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, Text revision (DSM-5-TR)
- Knowledge of Current issues/problems which negatively impact the community and their relationship to the development and operation of GVHC programs and services
- Knowledge of Federal, State and County laws or regulations applicable to providing behavioral health services
- Knowledge of Operating policies and general functions of other government agencies that provide behavioral health services
- Ability to Provide cost-effective and efficient behavioral health services to a broad range of patients, through the Integrated Care Model
- Ability to Work as a member of a team in a consultative role with primary care providers
- Ability to Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of this job description
