Job Summary
Conduct intensive behavioral health interventions for adults transitioning to permanent housing, addressing mental health, healthy aging, and substance abuse needs. Deliver Medi-Cal billable services including assessment, counseling, crisis management, and rehabilitation skills building while maintaining a regular caseload. Collaborate with medical teams, housing support services, and outside agencies to coordinate care, secure benefits, and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide culturally relevant advocacy, referrals, and information on community resources such as housing stabilization and legal services. Document all client interactions and progress in the Avatar electronic charting system, ensuring accurate billing and utilization reviews. Participate in weekly case conferencing, individual supervision, and ongoing trainings while maintaining ANSA certification and HIPAA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience providing full-scope Mental Health services billing Medi-Cal
- Master's degree in social work or related field
- Board of Behavioral Sciences registration/licensure
- Experience in service delivery to homeless populations, and other very low-income families and individuals
- Knowledge of and commitment to harm reduction practices
- Working knowledge of funding sources, both public and private
- Ability to maintain focus on organizational vision while attending to necessary and appropriate details
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Collaborative work style, initiative and flexibility
- Financial management competence, personnel management skills, and computer proficiency
- Commitment to ECS's mission and to its organizational values

- Must secure annual TB test
- Must secure fingerprint background check

- Must be available for in-person interaction and direct service delivery (no remote work)
