Behavioral Health Clinician II

Job Summary

Conduct intensive behavioral health interventions for adults transitioning to permanent housing, addressing mental health, healthy aging, and substance abuse needs. Provide consistent in-person rapport and crisis management while developing and revising individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Deliver Medi-Cal billable services including assessment, counseling, and rehabilitation skills building, ensuring accurate documentation in the Avatar electronic charting system. Coordinate care with on-site medical teams, Property Management, and Housing Support Services to secure benefits and housing stabilization. Maintain a regular caseload through weekly case conferencing, individual supervision, and ongoing trainings, while adhering to strict HIPAA, Medi-Cal, and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience providing full-scope Mental Health services billing Medi-Cal
  • Master's degree in social work or related field
  • Board of Behavioral Sciences registration/licensure
  • Experience in service delivery to homeless populations, and other very low-income families and individuals
  • Knowledge of and commitment to harm reduction practices
  • Working knowledge of funding sources, both public and private
  • Ability to maintain focus on organizational vision while attending to necessary and appropriate details
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborative work style, initiative and flexibility
  • Financial management competence, personnel management skills, and computer proficiency
  • Commitment to ECS's mission and to its organizational values
  • Highest integrity in serving diverse populations with cultural humility
  • Must secure annual TB test
  • Must secure fingerprint background check
  • Demonstrate behavior that supports the organization's mission, vision, and values

  • Must be able to work onsite (in-person interaction and direct service delivery required; remote work not available)
