Job Summary
Behavioral Health Clinician in the Emergency Department delivers individual and group therapy to patients with varied mental health/co-occurring disorders, conducts initial assessments, engages in treatment planning and aftercare, identifies need for medication evaluations and referrals, and maintains documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards; requires a Master’s degree in a related field and licensure-eligibility with strong communication and teamwork skills; work schedule is Day shift per department needs, with a focus on quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation and training from an accredited graduate (Masters) program such as Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, etc.
- Preferred: License (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) eligible.
- Must have strong and effective communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a robust multi-disciplinary clinical team.
