Job Summary
Behavioral Health Clinician at JFS provides assessment, evaluation and counseling services to individuals, families and groups at two Dallas locations (Arapaho office and Jubilee Park in Southeast Dallas). The role uses evidence based therapeutic skills to address presenting issues, maintains an active caseload, collaborates with staff for referrals, coordinates concrete services, facilitates groups, advocates for clients, serves on committees, and participates in on-call duties. Requires graduate from an accredited master's program and licensure as LCSW/LMSW/LPC/LPC-A/PhD/LMFT; credentialing and vaccinations may be required. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited master's level school with course work emphasizing clinical training
- LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPC-A, PhD, LMFT
- Must successfully pass credentialing process which includes verification of licenses and education, screening and possible vaccination for communicable diseases like Hepatitis B and TB
- Ability to convey empathy and concern for individuals and their families
- Ability to be flexible to handle the versatility of the position and its periodic crises
