Job Summary
Conduct triage, assessment, and treatment for patients and families while initiating psychiatric holds and assisting with disposition planning. Implement counseling therapy in individual and group settings, interview patients and their representatives, and determine necessary internal or external interventions. Coordinate discharge planning processes, identify community resources, and arrange case reviews to evaluate progress. Utilize teaching methods to meet patient and family educational needs and train new staff or students as assigned. Operate as an independently licensed clinician requiring critical thinking and decisive judgment within a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- State licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Addiction Counselor (ACD), or other licensure/certification may be acceptable as approved by department leadership
