Job Summary

Behavioral Health Clinical Specialist to join Unity Health Care at the D.C. Department of Corrections (DOC). Provides clinical leadership, training, and support to behavioral health clinicians; conducts assessments; supports crisis intervention; ensures fidelity to evidence-based treatment models; collaborates with DOC leadership and interdisciplinary teams; leads training and supervision; delivers high-fidelity EBPs (CBT, DBT, WRAP, IMR, TREM, TAMAR, SUD/MAT); conducts suicide risk/crisis assessments; develops treatment plans; participates in quality improvement; maintains EMR documentation; weekend/weekday rotations as needed; requires active licensed clinicians (LICSW/LPC/Psychologist) and a Master’s in related field; six years psychotherapy experience and two years supervision; correctional and high-acuity setting preferred; DC license required.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted DC license as a LICSW, LPC, or Psychologist
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field
  • Minimum of six (6) years of psychotherapy experience working with at-risk or vulnerable populations
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical supervision, training, or teaching experience
  • Experience implementing evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, WRAP, IMR, TREM, TAMAR, SUD, and/or MAT programs
